English Translation

“O people of faith! Indeed, drinking, gambling, (sacrificing for) idols, and drawing fate with arrows, are heinous deeds and include satanic deeds. Then stay away from those (deeds) so that you will be lucky.” (Q.S Al Maidah : 90)

Interpretation

Through this verse, God commands believers to shun satan’s deeds. O people who have faith in Allah, His book, and His Messenger! Verily liquor, whatever its kind, little or much, is intoxicating or intoxicating; gambling, no matter what form it takes; sacrifice for idols, including offerings, almsgiving of the sea, and various other offerings to ethereal beings; and drawing fate with arrows or in any way in accordance with the local culture, is a heinous act because it goes against common sense and conscience and adversely affects personal and social life; and includes satanic deeds that God forbids. So stay away from these deeds in personal life and social life with strict rules and severe punishments so that you will be lucky and prosperous in the life of the world and avoid the doom of God in the hereafter.
