Allah Almighty commands Muslims to always be patient through His words in the Quran and hadith about patience. One of them is in Surah Al Baqarah verse 153,
“O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are patient.”

To affirm His words about patience, there are many hadiths about patience. Starting from being patient in the face of trials and pain, being forgiving, to being grateful to him. Here we share:

Humayd ibn Abdur Rahman reported: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “Tell me of a word I can live by but not so much that I forget.” The Prophet said, “Avoid being angry.” The man repeated his question and the Prophet said, “Avoid being angry.”Source: Musnad Aḥmad 23468

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: Some people from the Ansar asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he gave them. Then they asked for charity again and he gave them. Then they asked again and he gave them until all he had was gone. The Prophet said, “If I had anything, I would not withhold it. Whoever refrains from asking others, then Allah will make him content. Whoever would be independent, then Allah will make him independent. Whoever would be patient, then Allah will make him patient.
