About Surah Al-Qadr
The 97th order of the Quranic mushaf arrangement contains Surah Al-Qadr. This Surah has 5 verses that depict Lailatul Qadar, which is a night of splendor.
This Surah was transmitted at Mecca because it is a part of the Makkiyah letter. Al Qadr, which means glory, is the name given to it in the first and second verses of the Qur’an. In this surah, “glory” refers to a “night of splendour” that is superior to a thousand months.
In other words, the worship we offer that evening has the same value as the worship we offer throughout a year. Even that night, angels of every kind were summoned to earth.
Asbabun Nuzul Surah Al-Qadr
The majority of mufassirins argue that Surah Al Qadr is a makkiyah letter, as was already mentioned above. This letter is either the 24th or 25th in the sequence of descent. Specifically, before Surah Asy Shams and after Surah Abasa.
In Tafsir Al Munir, Shaikh Wahbah Az Zuhaili outlined the three viewpoints that exist about asbabun nuzul this letter. One viewpoint was, however, disregarded. Only two viewpoints can therefore be used as references.
First, Imam Tirmidzi narrated from Hasan bin Ali that lailatul qadar is better than a thousand months. The descent of the letter was due to the bad deeds of the Umayyads to Ali ibn Abu Talib for a thousand months. However, this opinion was rejected. For this letter came down long before the occurrence of the dispute between Ali and Muawiyah. And the daulah period of the Umayyads lasted 92 years, not a thousand months (83 years).
Secondly, Ibn Abi Hatim and Al-Wahidi narrated from the Mujahid that the Messenger of Allaah sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam once mentioned a man from the Children of Israel jihad in the way of Allah for a thousand months. The Muslims were amazed by it, and then Allah sent down Surat Al Qadr. That lailatul qadar is better than the thousand months of jihad of the Children of Israel.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْر ِ
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْر
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍۢ
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِۢ
Transliteration
Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem1.Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr2. Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr3. Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr4. Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr5. Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la’il fajr
English Translation
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.1. Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree.2. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?3. The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.4. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.5. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

Included in Al-Mufashshal
The virtue of the first Al Qadr letter, namely Surah Al Qadr, is included in Al-Mufashshal given to the Prophet Muhammad Saw. In addition, so that he has primacy and privilege compared to the previous prophets.
Become a Door Opener of Sustenance
Imam Ahmad ibn Musa in a history was once asked about what worship can be used as an opening for sustenance. He gave a diploma that in order to obtain sustenance easily, he should read Al Qadr’s letter every five times.
A Reminder of the Descent of the Qur’an
In Al-Qadr verse 1 it is stated that the night of lailatul qadar is the night of the passing down of the Qur’an. by reading the surah al-Qadr, we can remember an important event for these muslims as valuable history. Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir said, “No servant reads Al-Qadr seven times after the dawn prayer, except on the angel praying to him 70 sholawats and pouring out mercy on him as many as 70 graces.” (Mafatihul Jinan: 79).

Imam At-Tarmimi said: “Whoever has the authority of Surah Al Qadr, then becomes meek in his heart, and becomes solemn towards his God, by the way of persevering to do obedience to HIM.
