“This shalawat is the most perfect shalawat to the prophet Muhammad SAW, whether coming from the prophet or from the scholars. The scholars therefore specialize and privilege this Ibrahimiyah shalawat because of the existence of ittifaq or agreement on the validity of the hadith about it. Indeed, imam Malik has narrated the shalawat in the kitab al-Muwaththa’, Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim in his shahih book, Imam Abu Dawud, Imam At-Tirmidzi and Imam An-Nasai (also narrated it).”
