اَللَّهُمَّ وَفِّقْنِي لِمُوَافَقَةِ اْلأَبْرَارَ، وَجَنِّبْنِي مُرَافَقَةَ اْلأَشْرَارِ، وَآوِنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ اِلَى دَارِ الْقَرَارِ بِإِلَهِيَّتِكَ يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
Transliteration
Allâhumma waffiqnî limuwâfaqatil abrâr, wa jannibnî murâfaqatal asrâr, wa âwinî birahmatika ilâ dâril qarâr bi ilahiyyatika yâ Ilâhal ‘âlamîn.”
English Translation
“O Allah, guide me to be friendly with those who do virtue. Keep me away from friendships with people who commit ugliness. Pour out upon me Thy mercy till the day of judgment, with Thy Divine, O Lord of hosts.”
Hadith On Friendship
- ‘Amr ibn ‘Abasah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah Almighty said: My love is a right upon those who befriend each other for my sake. My love is a right upon those who defend each other for my sake.”Source: al-Mu’jam al-Ṣaghīr 1092
