English Translation
“Indeed, those who trade God’s promises and their vows at a low price, have no share in the hereafter, God will not greet them, will not pay attention to them on the Day of Judgment, and will not purify them. For them, it’s a poignant doom.” (Q.S Ali ‘Imran: 77)
Interpretation
This verse threatens anyone who betrays and exchanges them for worldly things of no value before God. Verily those who trade or exchange strengthened promises in the name of God to keep, and their vows for worldly things; it is the same that they exchanged it for a low price or a low value compared to the reply they would receive in the afterlife if they were honest, they gained no share at all in the afterlife. Not only that, God will not greet them either, will not pay attention to them with a look of grace at the end of the day, and will not purify or forgive their sins. To them the grievous doom in hell, and they are eternal in it.
